Just Do It
This blog is for men but I know of many women who read it as well. This post is squarely targeted at men.
I've been a part time stay at home dad for a year now and wwwwwwooooooooooowwwww! It is incredibly hard work having an out of home job, having children under the age of 2, and having to run a household. It is hard as puck!
All you husbands out there, I don't mean to generalize, but my guess is that the lady of the house does way more work than you. Just a guess. Right now you are saying, "that's not true, we share equally" Or you are saying, "I work outside the home and that balances everything out."
To that I say you are falling prey to one of many human cognitive biases, this one is called illusory superiority. Let me tell you, you are wrong. I was wrong. We are all wrong. There is a statistically significant high probability that your wife is working more and harder than you.
Now that I have been doing this part time for a year I know for a fact my wife Hannah was/is working more/harder than I was/am. Hands down.
There is only one response. Just do it. What is it? It is more of everything. You know what I mean. If you don't know, you better ask somebody.
While you are working more share this everywhere and sign up to get a weekly short post to help you better.
