Make It So

Have you ever been in a situation where progress on an initiative ground to a halt or slowed because no one would make a decision? What was needed was just for someone to say make it so!

I'm talking about when the leaders refuse to make a decision and allow people to swirl in conversation and meetings for weeks and months. Often times there are 2 or more competing choices from within the group but the group does not feel empowered to choose.

These leaders that refuse to make decisions are full of fear.

One of the primary jobs of a leader is to make the tough decisions and take responsibility for the outcomes whether good or bad. When you sense uncertainty in your group or team do not shrink from your responsibility to make a decision for everyone so that the group can move forward.
