I recently had a conversation with someone and they asked me if I would ever say or do anything to my wife that was really hard on her but needed to happen.

There are not many tools in our husband tool kits that are as easy, affordable, and instantly results producing as this one.

When someone is watching you, you stand taller, you try harder, you want to look good. It does not matter what you are doing or who is watching. However depending on who is watching you may add a little pizazz.

We would not have come to discover this inconsistency if we were not in constant discussion and continually evaluating tactics and the outcomes that come from them.

Invest in yourself by always treating your wife like a treasure.

A few weeks ago I had a major fail. My wife and I share a car and share childcare duties. I was at a meeting with the car and forgot to come back to our home in time for my wife to get to an important appointment.

Now that I have been doing this part time for a year I know for a fact my wife Hannah was/is working more/harder than I was/am. Hands down.

I believe we should optimize. I believe we should sometimes maximize. I do not think it is productive to compromise. Optimizing and maximizing within our relationships produces the highest levels of happiness.

Are you your lady's savior?  I don't mean saving their life from certain death. I mean, making their life so much easier than it otherwise would be it is like you are their savior.

Why do you work out? Why do you eat right?

Have you and your partner fallen into roles when it comes to household work? Do you always do the dishes while she always shovels the snow?

When you find time to talk, the two of you are usually talking about the logistics of managing work, household, and children.

Every time you set eyes on your spouse you should act like one of your dreams just became reality and walked in through the door or woke up in bed next to you.

When is the last time you intentionally got uncomfortable with your leading lady (or man)? I'm not talking about talking about your childhood.

Whatever logic you use to convince yourself that you have done enough is flawed.

Here is a tip to be a better listener that will have your significant other gushing all over you.

There is an old proverb that says, "Finishing is better than starting." So, I say, if finishing is better than starting, then shorten the distance between start and finish to maximize your odds of finishing at all!

Focus on outdoing yourself today for the one you profess to love. 

Here's the thing. Stop it. Don't make that face.

Sometimes as husbands (and perhaps wives too) we don't engage in the critical analysis of what our partner really wants. We rely on outdated information that we learned while we were courting.
